I've been waiting for almost 3 decades for this. Loved the original and all the games (Intelivision's Tron Deadly Discs, Tron and Disc of Tron coin-up).
I mean, who could resist those awesome graphics and sound?!
I think my prayers have been answered... in 3D IMAX!
It truly is Tron 2.0! They way it SHOULD have been done 28 years ago. Yay!
All great games i was fortunate to grow up during the Arcade days and played DOT in the full cabinate as well as Tron. I actually played a Tron cab last summer. Thank god you can relive the memories in emulation.
I will say my fav has been Tron 2.0, that was one under appreciated game. Playing to multiplier was a blast.
Overall I am pretty psyched about this flick as the first one really get me got me interested in computers.
Something i always loved about Ut2k4 was when you died you derez with the exact noise from Tron.

Shit yeah, I havent seen that movie in So long. I think when I was a kid I had one of those Disney books that came with a record so you could follow along with the story while the record played the words lol _________________
Used to play Tron Deadly Discs on our street using Frisbees. Simple rules: Players freeze, disc thrower gets three steps, shoots Frisbee at others. If opponent catches it, thrower gets a letter (T-R-O-N = out). Opponent can block using their Frisbee. If blocked, no letter but thrower must chase down Frisbee and opponents can run away until the thrower gets to the Frisbee in which all must stop. Three steps, etc...
The fun part about the game was firing off some nice bounce shots or blocking one or even a double block. Beat 500 up!.... Car! _________________

I owned the Intelivission game of Deadly DIscs, I owned the tron bike game too as well as the game that involved getting in the "tron tanks" and hunting down other tanks and stuff. _________________
If you haven't already seen "The King of Kong, A Fistful of Quarters", you need to... right now. I won't link the youtube video's since there are 10 parts (it's a full length film). It's about a touching story of a laidoff Microsoft employee who decides to turn his life around by breaking the donkey kong world record and joining an elite group of gamers and a 60 year old guy who always dresses as a referee.
